He was sixteen years old, a junoir in high school. He wore the same wristband over his left wrist every day. His future wasn't exactly "bright". He was failing his courses in school because kids thought it was fun to steal his homework and rip it up and distract him during classes and tests.
He would go home from school every day, waiting half an hour in the bathroom to make sure all the kids had left in their cars and on the busses while he walked. As he waited he stared at the wristband. He walked through the cold streets to get home.
The screen door was barely clinging to the hinges and swung freely open. The boy proceeded into his house and into the kitchen past his mother who was passed out and bruised, sitting in a chair, her head resting on the table.
He opened the basement store and tossed his bag down there. He caught a slight glimpse of his brother, sitting on the couch with a blunt in his hand. He had lost almost all facial expression.
The boy then went upstairs to his room. However, as he reached the top step he felt a hard blow land across his face. He stumbled down a couple of steps and looked up at his father, drunk as ever. His words were slurred and mostly unclear.
"Douf...yes...nus...whutz yez..."
His father stumbled slightly, the boy took this opportunity to push his way around him and go into his room, locking the door behind him.
Although there were two beds for he and his brother, his brother pretty much lived in the basement, so his bed was covered with papers and writing. What he really wanted to do was be a writer. However he knew he'd never become one at this rate. He sat down in front of the desk which was half black as his brother had almost lit it on fire one time.
It all had started over an arguement about smoking. Back three years ago when his brother had just started high school and he was in eigth grade, he caught his brother smoking and tried to stop him. His brother told him to mind his own business, he said that smoking was more interesting than his boring stories. His brother then pushed him out of the way threw the lighter as hard as he could at the desk, it blew up on contact and several of the papers got fire. Shocked by the noise, his father had stumbled into the room, spilling alchohal on the flames. Fortuanately, the boy managed to douse the fire eventually. He started locking his door after that day and stopped talking to his brother and father.
Out of the people in that house the only person he could bare to talk to and the only one he actually cared about was his mother. However his mother had grown silent recently ever since his father started hitting her.
The boy slumped into his chair and looked at the wristband. He was given this wristband on his fourteenth birthday by his best friend. He remembered what happened after that. He was on his way to go see him to celebrate his birthday when his father caught ahold of him and offered to drive him. The boy tried to turn him down but his father forced him into the car.
His father drove drunk to his friend's house. The friend was waiting out front for him when he saw the car. His father killed his friend. The boy yelled at his father to unlock the door but he had passed out at the wheel. The boy kicked the door open, breaking it so it no longer shut properly, he had no idea he was that strong, he didn't usually test his strength. The boy ran over to his friend to see his skull cracked open and his brains oozing out. The boy ran over to the drivers side of the door and pounded on the window. His father grunted.
"Heyz...leaf...meh...unloon..."
The boy cursed as loud as he could, balled up his fist, and punched right through the window, decking his father in the face. It was the first time in his life he had ever raised a fist to someone.
The boy found the wristband in his friend's pocket with a birthday card, he's worn it ever since.
The boy stared up at the ceiling, he had given up on his doing homework, all the work just to have it taken and destroyed. He was silent like the rest of the house. A few minutes later he heard the sound of his father stirring and heading downstairs. Then the sound of struggling and his mother screaming, a few blows landed, a bottle smashed and his mother's body dropping.
The boy began to grow nervous, never before at his father hit his mother out cold. Had he smashed the bottle and attacked her with it? Or had she fought back and broken it, thus him hitting her harder than usual? The boy ran over to his door to make sure it was locked and pushed his body against it. He heard pounding on the door.
"'Ey! Opun deh hill up!"
"Go away!" The boy shouted.
His father kicked the door so hard he broke the lock and knocked it open, throwing the boy back The father walked in with the broken bottle and pointed it at him.
"What did you do to mom?"
His father murmured something incoherent other than the words "bitch" and "lesson".
"You bastard!"
The boy got up and charged at his father who smashed the already broken bottle on his head. The boy collapsed on the ground, blood running through his hair and down the side of his head. He reached his hand up to the wrist band and removed it, revealing several slashes on his wrist. Cut into the wristband on the inside was a small pocket where stored a razor blade. The boy rolled back slowly as his father stood there drunk and climbed to his feet. He then charged his father once more, kicking him in the knee and knocking the bottle from his hand. He then slashed the razor at his father's eyes, blinding him. His father fell to his knees, his hands over his bloodied eyes. The boy kicked at his father until he stopped shouting and moving all together.
Panting, the boy fell back into his chair and stared at the ceiling.
The boy was not in school the next day. Nobody knew what happened to him until his brother came upstairs finally and found his mother's body, her face torn up with shards of glass in it. He went upstairs to find his father's body on the floor, the bloody razor not too far. And, hanging from the ceiling fan was as rope, tied into a noose, and through the noose hung the boy. Blood ran down the boy's wrist over his hand and dripped into a puddle on the floor.
The brother called the police, something he never thought he'd do. However by the time the police had arrived the brother had killed himself as well through fear that they would find his drugs and send him to jail.
And that was the story of a boy...

So this is the final result of a series difficult weeks and days
I've come to the conclusion that if you think I'm not good enough, if you think I should be changed, if everything little thing I do you have to put me down on, if you think you're better than me, or if you think you need to change me-then you can go FUCK YOURSELF
I don't need you, and I sure as hell don't need your shit. I don't give a rat's ass what you think of me. I'm through comparing myself to others who I try to be. I can't be them and I see now that I would never want to be them.
In the last month or so I've tried pretty damn hard to live up to everyone's expectations but my own. I've tried pretty damn ard to be everybody but myself. And I've tried pretty damn hard to get that which certain bitches and assholes try to keep me from getting. Well I know now to be what I want me to be and what's worth working for.
The fact of that matter is that Richard Edmund Carroll is who Richard Edmund Carroll is and nobody's about to change that. Fuck the world and fuck anybody who looks down upon me!

My name's not Cloud!
I feel like, to say in a weird anime/Square Enix manner, I've been falling deeper and deeper into my own darkness lately. While usually those who know me know I've always viewed the darkness as misunderstood and never evil, I find myself afraid of my darkness. I suppose it's just human nature to be afraid of that which we cannot see nor understand.
I’m sick of sadness, I’m sick of disappointment, I’m sick of fear, and I’m sick of being hurt. Shane broke up with Holly and I can’t stand it. He says they’re not officially over but at this rate it won’t be long. I’ve also come to another sad truth and I’ve thrown myself into even more depressing thinking. I really don’t know how much more of this I can take (don’t worry, I’m not suicidal yet).
Rosa ditched me, again! She asked if we were hanging out today and I asked her what she’s doing after school. She said she had to work till five and we could hang out when she got out. Five o’clock, I text her, no response. Six o’clock rolls around and I finally get a text from her asking where I am. I told her at home and I asked what took her so long and she said she had to talk to her dad. So I asked her what she’s doing. No response…for about an hour. Finally I text her again, not more than a simple question mark. I get a text back and she tells me she’s at the mall with whom else but your friend and mine, Joey Noey. Then she texts me and asks if they can come by my house. I told her sure but warned her there was really nothing to do here. Never got a text back, so the entire night I didn’t know whether or not to expect them.
Now to add onto everything else Anthony’s started hitting on my sister again. What fun right?
Man, not even beating Devil May Cry 2 has made my day any better…hell, it hasn’t made my day, week, or even month any better. To be honest I can’t wait to work Friday, unless I manage to get someone to switch shifts with me so I can go to Karleen’s party which I hope I can. Regardless, after that I’ll be eager to work Saturday and Sunday, that way I won’t have to worry too much about the life I hate.
And now for the news:
I've had a surprising decrease in homework since getting back from vacation. This is probably due to the fact that we’re all presenting our projects in biology lately, a task I managed to weasel out of one more day as Ms. Morisette had to go judge the high schools science fair. So she stuck us in the high school’s science lecture hall to suffer some boring lecture about rockets or something stupid. Naturally Brett and I were cracking jokes through the whole thing.
Mr. Brown’s gotten started on MCAS review. He gave us a packet and tonight was the second assignment he’s given us out of it. It’s not too bad, I just want to know who the hell writes six paragraphs about salt?
Today I realized for the first time just how far behind I am in related homework. I knew I was missing a few assignments but I got a lot to do to catch up. I can’t fail related no matter what.
I’m not looking forward to this week progress report since all the teachers are too lazy to add up or even estimate my grade so I’m not really getting what I’m supposed to be getting out these grades so I don’t know what to expect for my grade, which is the point of these stupid things. Instead all I’m finding out is more bullshit reasons why the teachers think I’m not trying and whether or not I have my all assignments done.
Still haven’t touched my English essay. Technically I could get it done now but to be honest I’m afraid to. I’m tired of disappointing myself in what’s supposed to be my subject. Every time I think I do well on an English essay Brown always slaps me with a C and I’m sick of it! For the love of god my sister was asking her for help on her college entrance essays or whatever the hell they’re called! Just cause I can’t give you an example of something or label a part of speech, or understand Shakespeare doesn’t mean I’m not probably the best writer in the entire sophomore (and probably junior and even senior) class!
I don’t know what the hell’s up in algebra. We’re doing more geometry now, Pythagorean Theorem or whatever. I don’t really know if I’m getting any of this right or not. I remember the three formulas, the theorem, distance, and mid-point, but for some reason I always seem to fuck up.

Um...hello TOM? I think you're looking for my sister down the hall...
Well lately to say the least I've had the emotions of a girl on PMS, though without the few positive moods she tends to swing into after every ten bad moods. I've gone from sad, to angry, to depressed, to nervous, back to depressed, back to nervous, then a combination of sad and angry.
To say the least I've not had a pleasant week so far. While the first day back at school after vacation was better than I expected, I've come to terms with some depressing facts in my head. I looked further into DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) which is the disease I did for my biology project. The reason I switched from depression (you have quite a choice there but I was referring mostly to the ones further to the top) to DID was because studying depression scared me as I began to feel a bit of a connection to the symptoms. However, a few of DID's symptoms/causes have begun to worry me as well.
"Talking to yourself rather than others about your problems, which can be brought on by a lack of trust in others, or fear of what they'll think of you."
That's not word-for-word but I can't find the site I got that from otherwise I'd link you.
Anyway, I talk to myself a lot as for some reason lately I've found it very difficult to talk to others about my problems since nobody ever seems fully-able to help me. However I've come to terms with the sad truth that I can barely help myself either.
I also owe a review on Full Metal Alchemist: Conquerer or Shamballa, and possibly even a Devil May Cry review, though I already posted a somewhat fair review in my last post. Eh, ya never know. I hope to get someone to review Key to the Key soon so I can see how it's going. Sadly I've lost a lot of motivation to write the story so I've lacked on working on it a lot. I wasn't very satisfied with the latest chapters as I was trying to rush it along without breaking the 5-6 page limit I've set for myself. I managed to get done what I wanted in it however. Sera's in Halloween Town and he's met Jack so I think I did a fairly good job. Though I was already aware of the lack enthusiasm I had put into the chapter, I was even more worried when I saw that the chapter was only 33 KB. Surprisingly enough, the only chapters lower than that are 1&2 which were only 32 each, which really does shock me since I had just started out with fresh ideas for the story you'd think they'd be the largest chaptes. The largest chapters were actually those with what "boss fights". The Guard Armor in Travese Town, the giant Heartless in the Cave of Wonders, Jafar, Axel, and Sephiroth. This is probably due to the focus I tend to put on fights and action sequences.

Games, phones, and viruses-oh my!
UPDATE: I've posted another chapter to Key to the Key. Just goes to show you that if I buckle down and get to work I can pump out five pages in less than twenty minutes. Though to be honest the lack of time it seems to takes me to type up these chapters is rather distressing as to whether or not I'm doing a good job on them. Comment the chapters if you find any mistakes or don't understand something, I'll gladly answer all questions.
Well as some may know, Frank and I have been on a vicious hunt for the game "Warriors Orochi." Fans of Koei's games should already know about it and have either already played it or be eager to play it. I went into Gamestop tonight expecting to just browse, since the Gamestop at the mall has a SUCKY colleciton. But still, I took the risk, asked if they had "Warriors Orochi" and to my shock, the man turned to the computer, started typing, turned back to me and said "Should be on the shelf". I LEAPT over the $5-and under game stand and raped that wall. Sadly I never found it. Finally, after much searching, I asked if he was sure they had it and he told me I could buy it but with a blank case. Now, normally as a gamer I like to have the case and booklet, however, with the hunt this game had led me on, I could print the friggin cover out off the internet for all I cared. In the process I also decided upon buying another PS2 controller, something I've needed for quite sometime for my 2-player games. I bought a nifty-silver one which has not so much replaced the ol' classic black controller as found a place in my heart right next to it. I mean, it looks cool, but anybody who knows me knows how I feel about orginiality (I played all of Kingdom Hearts 1&2 with just the Kingdom Key for crying out loud).
Sadly enough, I knew what to expect from Warriors Orochi somehat. You've played one Koei game, you've played them all. Pick a charact, pick a battle, set guard and mount, choose your weapon, check the conditions, run out into the field and hack 'n slash 'till the main enemy finally decides to stick his neck out. Now, I'm fairly familiar with Japanese history and lore and even some of the language thanks to video games and anime, however I had no clue what Orochi was or meant. Appaerently Orochi is a demon from legend (also used in the hit Japanese game Okami). Anyway, I haven't given the game a fair test run to post an actual review, I'll wait until Frank comes over so we can play co-op.
(SPOILER WARNING!!!)
However, I've yet to inform you of all of another video game(s) I've purchased recently. The 5th Anniversary Box Set of the Devil May Cry series (1-3). For the longest time I've been telling myself to pick up Devil May Cry however I've never gotten around to it. Well when four came out I said "enough" and ordered the box-set online. Well, the first one was rather fun. Sucky graphics by todays standards however. Characer development was very VERY weak. And (SPOILER WARNING!!!) the fact that the entire game takes place in one castle and a bit of the underworld just makes it difficult to keep focused with the lack of scenery.
The game reminded me a lot of Dirge of Cerberus though much better. In fact, I recall reading a review for DoC in which someone called it similar to DMC. Well, I can't say I didn't have fun playing Devil May Cry (1) however I can't say it's a game I'd beat twice. Anyway, in my eagneress after beating Devil May Cry (1), I popped open Devil May Cry 2 and tossed the disc into the PS2 quickly-big mistake. I read on the back cover you can play as both Dante and Lucia, the new girl in the game. I realize that the page for the extra disc is just added for the extra disc, but I think that since it's the first disc you see when you open the case, it should be disc 1 and not disc 2.
After the first level I was like y'know, cool, new playable character, now how 'bout Dante?
Third level, y'know, getting to know the new character, but what about Dante?
Seventh level, ok, I get it, she throws knives and turns into a harpy or something, now what about Dante?
Tenth level, alright WHAT THE FUCK-WHERE'S DANTE?!
Finally I said "hold on" and realized my mistake. However, the game is repetitive in which you simply hack 'n shoot your way to victory so after playing the game as Lucia for long, one level as Dante was enough for me for the night.
When I beat disc 1 as Dante, I'll gladly pop in disc 2 and beat the game as Lucia, but until then, Dante's my main man. I just hope Devil May Cry 3 isn't as repetitive as 1&2 and I have HIGH hopes for Devil May Cry 4.
Also, my dad agreed to let me buy a 360-however-I have to assume that the money in my saving's is 0 and work my way up to what a 360 costs-no big deal, I can do it.
Now that I've bored you to tears I'll give you a quick summary of my day! =D
That back-to-school dread crept up on me as I climbed the stairs of the school this morning but it really wasn't all that bad.
After school I hung with Rosa for a bit then hung out with Shane. We made out way to the mall when we came upon a cell phone. It still worked, and it was a really nice phone. So we looked through the contacts for a "home" and found it. Called it up, told them about the phone. Appaerently it belonged to a man about to move into the house we found it in front of, we offered to drop the phone off in the mail box for them. When we got there howevere, the owner of the phone was shoveling the drive way. So the phone got returned safely (a let-down for me since it was Sprint and I need a new phone >.>).
Shane did wonders on my laptop which I fucked up a while ago. I downloaded a Nintendo 64 emulator called "Project 64" which seemed to be going fine-until I tried to use limewire to download the games. My laptop became home to more viruses than a children's hospital during flu-season. My laptop's being more of a p.o.s than usual to the point where typing this whole thing is become rather unbarebale and for some reason I have to pound the keys every thirty seconds cause they want to not work and for some other reason every 10 seconds this thing is being saved as a draft.
Well the rest of the night was filled with my usual emo thinking. I'll survive somehow in this craz, cruel world of ours. However, tonight was unusually depressing since a friend of mine tried to "help" me, though with no luck.
Okay, that's all I can reall type for now, I'm rather tired and hope to get more sleep tonight than last night.

Okay, that's all I can reall type for now, I'm rather tired and hope to get more sleep tonight than last night.

when the road leads you to a chicken
so nothing's really making much sense to me now. i won't go into full detail about what's happened over the last few days for me but if you're someone who should know then you either already know or will soon know.
idk how much i'll updating now since my dad's gone on a whole "delete your myspace" rampage on me (not that i plan on deleting it, however i'll have to start logging onto that and this at friends' houses)
Key to the Key will still be progressing at its usual slow place since I can still work on that at home at least.
Anyway, that's the update for today.

and here comes the emoness again...
So today really did suck, just to add on to the already shittastical month I've had. I'm losing what I want most more and more by the day. It's like spilling soda in the ocean and trying to drink through all the water to get to the soda before it spreads out too much (Idk, just the example that came to mind). I don't really know what matters most to me anymore or what my main priorities are all I know is that I have so much shit on my plate I feel like shouting "food fight" and tossing that plate at somebody's face for them to deal with.
I'm sick of my family
I'm sick of a large majority of my friends
I'm sick of chasing after what I want most when I know I can't now nor ever attain in
I'm sick of the world in general

Know Your Justin
Well I thought this would be a good time to do an "about me" post as I know nobody reallys know all there is to know about the one and only Justin.
Name: Justin/Richard Edumund Carroll
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Birthday: June 8, 1991
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Hometown: Tewksbury
Current City/Town: Medford
Other cities/towns: Stoneham
Schools: (in order) Little Red preschool, Idk the name of my kindergarden, my first elementary school I forget the name of, Robin Hood School, McGlynn Middle School, Cheverus School, Malden Catholic, Medford Voke
Family: Richard Edumund Carroll Jr (Father) Channa Carroll (Older Sister) Jenness Carroll (Younger Sister)
Pets: Buddy (Golden Retriever) Pepper (Annoying Cat) Smokey (Lazy Cat) Sasquatch (Fat Cat) Oprah (Unbelievably Annoying Cat) Halle (Ninja-Cat)
Well Justin's character is a bit contradictary.
Justin is actually quite smart for his age when compared to other kids. He excels in english grammar and writing. He's quite smart at simple math, so much so that when doing it out in his head he does it left-to-right as opposed to right-to-left. However, he sucks royally at any math with letters in the equation. Justin has no skill what-so-ever for science yet finds the body quite interesting in the fact that everything seems to fit in perfectly as if somebody had designed it. Justin enjoys certain parts of history as he views some of it like reading a story.
However, in spite of all this Justin can be rather dense and thick-headed at times. He's not quick when it comes to emotions or has the abilities of a rock when it comes to expressing emotions and is never quite sure what or how he's feeling. Though this may be sadly true, Justin is always sure of one thing, his friends are most important to him, moreso than his family, grades, or self. Justin's life belongs to his friends no matter what the cost, he'd die for them if only to see them smile (well, if it's just to see them smile then he might sprain an ankle). Also, and I can't stress this enough for anybody who talks to him-JUSTIN SUCKS AT RECIEVING CODED MESSAGES! If you say something like "I think you should" when you mean just "You should" he's at a TOTAL-FUCKING-LOSS.
Justin's good with jokes and sarcasm, it makes him a laughable guy. Justin also enjoys a good joke if you have one. And despite any racial jokes he may make, Justin has a strong view of equality and fairness (except with kangaroos...fucking hopping bastards...). And believe me when I say, Justin always has something to say. Whether it be an opinionated statement, rant, or just a witty retort, Justin's never left without a word on the lips.
Although Justin is not judgemental, he sucks at making guesses about people before meeting them. He also sucks ROYALLY at first imprssions, so never judge Justin after only meeting him once, I promise you he's a totally different person the second time around.
Likes: Drawing, writing, video games, music
Dislikes: Being treated stupid cause he's a kid, not being taken seriously, being ignored, being treated like a child, having assumptions made of him.

A blog of its own
So I decided to create an entirely new blog for Key to the Key. I'm gonna try to get more familiar with this site and see what else I can do with it. But for the time being, expect all my non-Key to the Key posts to be in the regular Life and Times of a Disturbed Maniac blog (this one that you're reading right now...this second...and this second...and this one...).
Anyway, I went to the trouble of uploading every single chapter, including an extra one, Take XIII, which really wasn't such a bright idea since now anybody reading is up-to-date. Which means I have to actually get some work done and get XIV finished. How in the hell do I expect to finish XIV when I just got the Devil May Cry box set and I just downloaded Mario Paint (don't ask). You've done it again life, you dirty skank you.

Full Metal Alchemist Review
(WARNING: Possible spoilers! Strongly suggested you do not read unless you have finished the Full Metal Alchemist series not including the movie)
I must say, for the years I've been watching anime I have seen some pretty good animes. Some I wish didn't end so soon, and some I wish I knew how they would end already.
But I am here today with a review of the anime Full Metal Alchemist. The series started off with a gripping opening of the young boys Edward and Alphonse Elric, two young alchemists on a mission to find the Philsopher's Stone and fix their bodies.
The creator of the series definitely did a good job and releasing information when he felt it needed to be known. The character's backgrounds and plot line twists were not never-ending but at the same time not so little that one could expect what would happen in five episodes. Each episode held some sort of emotional roller coaster ride that could take you from laughing at Ed and Winry arguing over milk to sobbing at the scene of Hughe's daughter weeping before his grave.
The story brings you from watching two boys who want to escape the law of equivellent exchange by making a Philosopher's Stone to a young boy who just wants to bring his brother's body back, even if it costs him his own. (SPOILER WARNING!) The major plot twist that keeps you guessing until the second-to-last episode in which you learn the truth of alchemy and it's source.
(SPOILER WARNING!) The battles were hooking. You can only make slight predictions as to what Ed will transmute next, what appearance Envy will assume next, who we'll find out created a homunculus, who is a homunculus, etc. From Ed transmuting Greed's very body to Envy being Hohenheim's first born son.
Having not seen the movie I can guarantee you that I, and more than likely anybody who's finished the series but not the movie, is itching to see it. Sadly enough, I don't have the time to watch the movie tonight so it will have to wait until tomorrow. But I do have enough time to watch one more episode, time I'll definitely use to rewatch the last episode.
(SPOILER WARNING!) The last two episodes alone (Episode 50-Death, and Episode 51-Laws and Promises) was indeed the most pulse-pounding of the series. The showdown between Mustang and Pride; Wrath helping Ed; Envy killing Ed; Al's sacrifice to bring Ed back; Envy crossing the gate; Ed's sacrifice to bring Al back; Gluttony's attack on Dante; and so much more!
Even to bring up a very sore subject with animes over the last few years-voice actors, I was very impressed with Full Metal Alchemist's cast of voice actors. Vic Mignogna who some may know as Dark Mousy from DN Angel, or Ikkaku from Bleach (never watched the English series myself), Brolly from Dragonball Z movies, and many, many more (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vic_Mignogna) was indeed a great choice for the voice of Edward Elric. Mind you all the other voice actors were great as well, I'm just a bit familiar with Vic.
In the end the series would definitely be something I'd consider watching twice assuming I had the time. I would like to thank everybody who contributed to the making of such a fine anime series and pray that all the praise I've heard of the movie was not just over-hyping.

What school?
I really don't know where today went. I kinda feel like I woke up and just hung around. I forgot I went to school today for some reason, like I had a day off or something.
Anyways...
In order to give myself more time to work on Key to the Key so the posted chapters aren't up-to-date with the chapters I've written, I will possibly be going into a new story. One I shall write must faster but will be less time consuming (mind you I'll still put as much effort and enthusiasm into this one as KttK).
So that's all for today.

News AND a chapter? What could be better?
So I ordered Devil May Cry May greatest hits (box set including 1-3) for the PS2 off of www.gamestop.com last night. It should get here withing a week. Oh how I hate the American mailing system. Mind you I made this purchase because I always wanted to get into the Devil May Cry series, and since 4 is out (and I still don't own a PS3 or 360), I felt now would be a better time than ever to jump right into it. Somebody will have to tell me though whether or not DMC4 is a let down compared to the first 3.
That being said, here's your new chapter. I think I'll slow the pace down to a chapter every few days now since I didn't realize how much I had posted already. I have to say I'm quite surprised to see I've already posted past Agrabah. Happy reading!
Take XII: Cloud’s Darkness
Sera fell hard on the ground. He shook his head for a moment and looked up to examine his surroundings. He was in what looked like a battlefield, as if a war had just taken place here. Sera picked himself up and trekked across the aftermath of what seemed like a very recent battle. The ground was disturbed, trees and plants were dead, there were fires. Sera walked through a fissure, sucking his gut in, walking sideways to fit through. Upon reaching the end of the fissure, Sera saw a wide opening like the ground had been split by an earthquake.
Sera stepped onto a small ledge and felt the powerful gusts of wind almost knocking him down. As he began to sidestep he saw two dark figures fly through the air and collide, fly back leap off the walls of the crater and collide back into each other. The sound of metal rang every time they collided. Sera’s eyes widened and he summoned the Keyblade to his hand.
One of the figures landed on the wall and ran down it to the ledge, leapt off from the bottom and slashed upward at the other figure, sending him flying above the crater. Sera looked upon the attacker. His long silver hair draped beneath his shoulders. Sera gazed in shock at the long katana in the warrior’s hand. He wore a long, black coat that opened to reveal his chest with two buckles crossing it. A shining shoulder piece sat on each shoulder.
The other warrior ran from the crater and jumped a great length, sticking his sword straight down at the other. The warrior with the silver hair extended a long black angel wing on his right shoulder and leapt back out of the way. The other warrior landed on his knees and slowly rose-it was Cloud!
The man with the long silver hair gripped his sword tightly and held it the long blade straight up in front of his face. “Just give in to your darkness Cloud…”
Cloud leapt for the silver-haired warrior and swung at him twice, singing his blade horizontally, back-and-forth. His opponent back flipped away from the blade and swung his own, sending a shockwave at Cloud, disrupting the ground first, throwing Cloud off balance so he couldn’t dodge. Cloud flew through the air and landed on the side of the crater. The silver haired warrior walked forward a few steps then leapt into the air and landed in front of Cloud. He reached his blade up and swung down to finish Cloud.
“Cloud!”
Sera leapt into the crater and charged the silver haired warrior, extending his arm to first block his long blade, then reaching back his leg and kicking him back.
Cloud rose to his knees, surprised to see Sera there, “Sera?”
“Stand back Cloud, I’ll take care of this guy.”
“No, this is personal, back off. I have to beat him.”
“Well you’re not doing it without me he-”
Cloud struck Sera in the back of the head, dropping him unconscious. Sera could barely make the out the sound of the steel of the two blades clashing as he passed out.
When Sera finally came to, he was in a cave. He could see the night sky and thousands of raindrops falling outside the cave. A small fire was lit and Cloud sat opposite him on the other side of the fire.
“Did…you win?” Sera sat up slowly.
“No,”
“So, then, he spared you?”
“No, I had to flee. You were too much of an interference.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t worry about it.
“But, Cloud, if you’re here, does that mean we’re in Hallow Bastion? I have some questions for Leon!”
“No.”
“Huh? Then…where…are we?”
“I don’t know. I just walk to wherever I think he is.”
“The silver haired guy?”
“Sephiroth.”
“Sephiroth.”
“He is…my darkness.”
“Your darkness, has a body?”
“Yeah.”
You will meet the embodiment of your darkness.
“How was Sephiroth born?”
“Jenova.”
”What?”
“It’s complicated.”
“So, is Sephiroth chasing you?”
“No, I’m chasing him.”
“So he’s not too concerned with finding you?”
“He wants me to give in to my darkness.”
“But, if he’s not chasing you, why are you hiding.”
“There’s another.”
“Who?”
“No one, it’s not important to you. When the rain stops you got to leave.”
“Can’t do that. The Keyblade brought me here for a reason! And I’m betting that reason was you and Sephiroth!”
“No, Sephiroth is my problem and I have to face him, alone.”
“Being alone…you remind me of Jekt.”
Cloud stood up and turned to walk out into the rain to go looking for Sephiroth.
“If you leave I’m going with you.”
Cloud stopped dead in his tracks and turned to stare directly at Sera.
If you leave I’m going with you!
Cloud looked away for a moment “I kind of miss her.”
“Who?”
“The one chasing me?”
“Then why are you running from her?”
“I can’t stand to face her like this.”
“Like what?”
“Stuck in the darkness.”
“There’s nothing wrong with the darkness! Saying something’s wrong with the darkness but not the light is like saying one twin is a winner and the other is a failure. They’re the same aside from some minor differences. If you’re stuck in the darkness and can’t find the light then use the darkness to your advantage.”
“Darkness…light… It’s a very confusing matter.”
“It doesn’t have to make sense. You just have to go with it.”
“Sera…I have to go, you should leave here.”
“I’m not leaving until we’ve beaten Sephiroth.”
“There is no we there’s me and Sephiroth.”
“I bet that if you let me help you we could take him!”
“I can do it myself.”
“But you don’t have to!”
Cloud looked at Sera, a blank look on his face like he had almost passed out.
I can do it myself.
But you don’t have to Cloud!
Cloud continued to leave the cave, he stopped and glanced back at Sera once, muttering “Right…” then continued walking. Sera watched him until he had disappeared completely into the fog and rain then leapt to his feet and raced out after him.
Sera stopped and looked up at the sky, watching the rainfall on his face.
“You were with Cloud.”
“Huh?” Sera spun around to face Sephiroth, pointing his long blade at Sera.
“Tell me, where has Cloud gone?”
“I don’t feel like telling you to be honest!”
“Perhaps if I cut off one of your limbs you’ll feel differently.”
The Keyblade appeared in Sera’s hand a flash of light.
“You’re challenging me?”
“The way I see it, I’m just keeping you in one spot till Cloud finds you.”
Sephiroth raised his long blade straight upward then slashed down at him. Sera flung himself back, planting his right hand on the ground using it and his feet as brakes to stop sliding, his Keyblade held above his back. Sera began a slow run and picked up speed as he approached Sephiroth, swinging diagonally downward to the right at Sephiroth, who swung his sword upward to counter Sera’s attack, knocking the Keyblade out of his hand and sending Sera flying. Sera rolled on the ground for a few a moments and glared at Sephiroth.
“Give up, you can’t beat me. Even Cloud cannot defeat me.”
“Shut-up!”
“Hmph, you sound just like him.”
Sera summoned the Keyblade back to his hand and ran at Sephiroth, clashing blades with him three times before jumping back.
“SONIC BLADE!”
Sera charged at Sephiroth with Sonic Blade. Sephiroth simply waved his blade and threw Sera aside.
“I grow bored of you.” Sephiroth raised his large blade and reached back, preparing to finish Sera off.
A longhaired man then leapt over Sera and in front of Sephiroth, throwing a barrage of punches at him. Sephiroth leapt back a few feet and the longhaired man followed by leaping into the air and coming crashing down at him with a kick. Sephiroth sidestepped to avoid and swung his blade at him. The longhaired man did a back flip to dodge and took another fighting stance. They were still for a few moments before Sephiroth spoke.
Sera observed the man, though he couldn’t see him too well since they ranged themselves from him during that little skirmish. But what he could see was a long, dark haired man dressed in leather. He was rather skinny and somewhat pale.
“Do you really think you can help Cloud? He doesn’t even want your help. Look at how he keeps running from you.”
The longhaired man leapt at Sephiroth and did a spin kick. Sephiroth leaned back, it appeared as if he barely dodged but that didn’t faze him at all. Sephiroth lifted himself into the air a few inches from the ground and flew back. The longhaired man reached his fist back and leapt at Sephiroth, throwing a mighty punch at him. Sephiroth took flight into the air. The longhaired man’s fist collided with a large rock, smashing it to pieces. Sera gasped in amazement, almost tripping over his own feet despite the fact he was standing still.
Sera was absolutely flabbergasted by this man’s amazing strength. But what shocked him even more was when he heard him speak.
“You can’t win Sephiroth! Cloud will defeat you and find his light!” a female voice rung out.
The longhaired man brushed his hair to the side to reveal the face a beautiful woman. Sera was extremely confused, and also rather scared that such a skinny girl could hold such tremendous strength.
Sephiroth, still in the air, swooped down, swinging his large blade at the woman, who back flipped several times until Sephiroth climbed higher into the air. Sera heard her let out a slight sigh of relief. She could tell Sephiroth was swooping back down from behind and leapt into the air, spinning around to kick him in the face. Sephiroth turned straight up and flew into the sky, coming straight back down to swing the girl, who was unable to dodge in the air.
It just occurred to Sera that he was still on the sidelines when he could be doing something. He had been so shocked by the woman’s strength that he completely forgot he was fighting Sephiroth too! Sera summoned the Keyblade to his hand and charged at the two fighters. He leapt into the air and hurled his Keyblade like a boomerang at Sephiroth.
“STRIKE RAID!”
The Keyblade soared through the air towards Sephiroth, who was forced to do a spin strike in the air to knock it away. This gave the woman enough time to land on the ground and leap back, a safe distance from Sephiroth. She shot amazed and confused looks at Sera as if she hadn’t noticed and he had just popped up out of nowhere.
Sephiroth landed on one knee and slowly rose. His wing covering half his body. He raised his left hand, which he wielded his long katana in and pointed it at Sera.
“You die first.”
“I don’t think so Sephiroth!” The woman stepped in between Sera and Sephiroth, her arms spread, “You’re dealing with me first!”
Sera ran around her so that he now stood between her and Sephiroth, “Sorry lady but I was here first, wait your turn!”
“Look kid,” the woman grabbed Sera’s shoulder and ripped him back behind her. Sera could feel her terrifying strength in her hand as she pulled at his shoulder, “I don’t know what kind of enemies you’ve fought but Sephiroth isn’t your average fighter. He’s not someone to be taken lightly.”
Sera tried to free his shoulder from her grip but she was too strong so he acted as if he hadn’t tried at all, ashamed that he couldn’t overpower her. “I’ve gotten a taste of what he can do when I saw him fighting Cloud. And trust me, it’s nothing I can’t handle.”
“Cloud? Cloud’s here? Where is he?”
“Uhh, I don’t really know, he just kinda left and told me not to follow him.”
“Which way did he go?”
Sephiroth, still pointing his sword at Sera, now pointed it straight up and gripped the hilt with both hands. “Enough of this, you both die-now!” Sephiroth kicked off against the ground and flew at Sera and the woman. Neither of them had time to defend or dodge and they both knew Sephiroth’s blade would cut through them both.
At the last second they heard the sound of metal colliding and grunting. Sera peered up as he had ducked his head down when he saw Sephiroth attacking. He saw Cloud standing over him and the woman, his blade matching Sephiroth’s.
“Tifa! Sera! Get out of here-now!”
Sera assumed Tifa was the girl’s name.
“No Cloud! I won’t leave you! I want to help you!”
“I don’t need any help!”
“But Cloud-”
“Go! NOW!”
Sera pushed Tifa aside as he felt crowded with her right next to him and Cloud and Sephiroth standing over them. “Look man, she wants to help you! I do too! Together we can beat Sephiroth.”
“Laughable, you truly think you can defeat me. You bunch of misfits.”
Cloud leaned back and pushed forward with all his strength to push Sephiroth back. He turned to Sera and Tifa, “Get going-now!”
“We’re not going anywhere!”
“This is the end for your Cloud” Sephiroth stretched his arm across his chest and swung his blade, sending a powerful shockwave at the trio, spreading them out. “Now, Cloud, you will see what happens when you deny your darkness.”
Sephiroth leapt into the air, pulling his blade back and stabbed forward, though not aiming for Cloud. He was aiming for Tifa!
“Tifa!”
“Cloud!”
“You shall pay for your foolishness Cloud.”

Hot and Cold
Well shortly after uploading the next chapter this morning I went to drawing (just random doodles as work was drawing close) and some random characters got drawn and I started thinking and a whole new twist got thrown into the Key to the Key story. I hope I can work it in well at this point (mind you I'm several chapters ahead of what I've posted so far).
So work was annoyingly bad. Corey was three hours late-three fucking hours! I almost had to do Checker-One and Clean-Up again! Thankfully he came in-eventually. He "claimed" he didn't know he had to work today since he doesn't usually work Sundays-which is bullshit cause I've worked with him for the last three sundays.
However I got to work with Craig who I guess it just coming in every now and again when he comes back down from college. That's cool, I enjoy working with Craig.
And not only that, but Brett, Sarah, and Jess came into work today. I love how Sarah cane come in for candy but not for my fucking break.
Btw, last night, I asked Sarah to come in for my break again and again she didn't come in but at 9:00 when the store's fucking closing she comes in for candy. I'm so sick of putting up with this. I'm not really in the mood to work on the story so I don't think I'll put up a second chapter today.

Fate you cruel sadistic mother fucker...
So I forgot to put something up Monday about the whole cop thing. Well Frank came to Medford cause he didn't have school Monday and he, myself, Kris, and Dom were all chilling in Kris' basement when I get a call from Sarah who tells me to go to the mall. I say "okay" and we head out. Well we have to stop by Dom's house along the way so he can drop his stuff off, no real problem.
Here's the problem: Kris decides "let's stop by Traditions"
(Note: Traditions=place in the woods where kids in Medford hang out just for the sake of hanging out. True people do smoke and drink there but it's just a chill-spot for Medford kids.)
We used to go to Traditions literally every day over the summer just to chill. We stopped going sometime in early August I believe because some assholes trashed the place. Well according to this kid Nick from my school, a bunch of kids fixed it up again. So anyways, Kris decided he wanted to see what it looked like now. I was sort of for it but more against it. So we stop by and these two kids Gary and Jimmy were there with a fire going (there's a firpit there). We were talking to Gary and Jimmy about fixing the place up when who shows up but an asshole cop. He takes down all our info and calls out a fucking fire engine to put out the fire and then bitches about how much it's costing the city just to call the fucking engine out here. Well if he hadn't noticed, and I know he did cause we fucking told him, we had a fucking fire extinguisher with us. But according to the all-knowing cop asshole, fire extinguishers smother flames but they spark up later.
What...
the...
fuck?
So that was a night of shit.
As for today...
Today started off pretty good. I did better than usual on my math quiz, my bitch history teacher was out and we got the cool substitute from the high school (he plays Dungeons&Dragons =D). We went to the shop though since there was really nothing to do. Fortuanately, we got to bring Brett with us, and also Rosa as her teacher was out that period too.
Biology was even fun since we got to dissect frogs. And to add onto the good day, we had a vocab quiz (which I always kick ass in) in english and of course, I kicked ass as usual. And Ms. Sawyer is out which meant no weekly progress report. And Frank was coming to Medford again. And I didn't have to go to work. And I got my paycheck. And we were going to the movies.
Then lunch came and shit got worse...
Rosa invites Pat to hang out with us...
Joanna's unbelievably annoying in shop...
Mr. Sampson's giving me shit about my ideas for posters in shop...
We don't end up going to the movies...
Rosa barely hangs out with us...
I managed to find Devil May Cry 1&2 at Gamestop but I can't buy them cause of the fucking M rating...
Nobody can tell me if Sarah still likes me...
Sarah's aggrivated at something again and still won't tell me anything at all (something I have a rant for later)...
Y'know what, life just becomes less and less worth it.

Boredom...
I am sitting...in Kris' basement...with a very bored Shane who is really starting to piss me off. Kris is upstairs watching Rush Hour 3 and Shane is playing drums to piss him off.
I wanted to hang out with Sarah today but she's hanging out with Sam. And though Sarah told me to "randomly" show up at the mall she told me not to be there for about an hour and a half, an hour passes and she IMs me telling me she just got back from the mall.
...wtf?
Anyway now I'm bored, Shane's bored, and Kris is gay...this day off sucks...

A preview of my wannabe drawing =P

So I thought I'd take a minute to give you all a rough idea of what two of the characters from Key to the Key look like. On the left is obviously Sera though not in his outfit from the story. On the right is Jekt with his spiky hair and exact outfit from the story. I have a Zed one in the making, these two were just easier to make because they were edited Sora and Riku sprites (rather obvious but hey, what're ya gonna do right?)
Update: finished Sera sprite-it's really only darker than the one from before but this is in face his actual outfit (though having molded it from a Sora sprite it doesn't really come out looking too good). I promise that once I get a scanner that doesn't suck I'll start uploading drawings of them. That way they'll look some-what better.

PAAAATS!!!!
Y'know, it's not so much that it was the Super Bowl as it is the fact that WE ALMOST HAD A PERFECT SEASON!
And before any little crackhead bitch loser goes off saying "Well the Pats stink-they cheat!" Do you really fucking think your team isn't recording and studying other teams? We just got caught doing it and guess what-we're STILL better than you-so go fuck yourself. In this past season we've broken more records than your team-or any single team-ever will. And in addition we came closer to a perfect season than your or any team ever will. Go fuck yourself with a football in the ass if you're gonna bitch. Your opinion isn't valid, you suck, I hate you, go die.
